| Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Hoffman, County of Clinton, and State of Illinois, held
on Wednesday, October 11 2006, at 7:00 P.M.
Meeting called to order by President Guile. The following trustees answered roll call:
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by President Guile and approved as read. Visitors recognized: No visitors were present
Committee Reports: Finance/Economic Development – Nothing to report. Health – Hohman reported that Clinton County has flu shots available. Ordinance/Zoning – Nothing to report Park/Beautification –Travis reported that the floor work is complete. Streets – McCoy stated that Christmas lights will be going up soon.
Amendments to the Agenda – House on 161 – Nowak will check which bank owns the house. Sign for dumpster – Travis will take care of contacting Bev to get a sign made. President’s Updates & Comments – President Guile informed board members that the DECA request is signed and sent. Clerk’s Updates and Comments –nothing to report Attorney’s Updates & Comments – nothing to report Unfinished business: Lift Station Bypass – President Guile reported that this project is in the works. Culvert at FS Elevator – President Guile reported that this project is also in the works Web Page – Nowak stated there was nothing new to report. East 2nd & Pine Road Project – The work for this project is complete and we will submit for Motor Fuel Tax money. Bike Path Maintenance – Hohman submitted copies of a bid for the resealing. McCoy made a motion and Abernathy seconded the motion to accept the bid for resurfacing. Roll call vote: Abernathy – yes, Hohmah – yes, McCoy – yes, Nowak – yes, Travis – yes. Motion carried with no opposition. Maintenance of Basketball Courts – President Guile will call regarding the lights. Records Retention – tabled New Business
Water Billing Cycle – Travis reported that a resident brought an issue to her regarding the number of days. President Guile stated that he has spoken with Mike Luebbers regarding this and efforts are being made to correct this issue Halloween – Parade & Trick or Treat – The board discussed moving trick or treat to Friday night instead of Sunday night. Abernathy made a motion and Travis seconded the motion for the Village of Hoffman’s trick or treat be on Friday, October 27, 2006, from 6:30 p.m., to 8:30 p.m. President Guile stated he will make up signs and get them posted in the village.
